God and me

A few days after the inauguration of the Temple of Faith in South Africa, situated in the heart of the city of Johannesburg, Bishop Edir Macedo blessed the South African people with another special meeting.

The cathedral was packed, and everyone had the opportunity to hear the message of faith preached by the founder of the UCKG on Wednesday evening.

Bishop made people think by saying, “You must believe in yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself, no one will. For you to succeed in all the areas of your life, you must first depend on yourself, then on God.”

In order to illustrate what he said, Bishop Macedo compared his relationship with God with the two legs of the human body.

According to him, one leg represents the person, the other represents God. If the person does not take the first step, which is to believe in himself and act out his faith, God—who is the second leg—will not be able to do His part, which is to follow the first leg to the desired destination. The second leg will stand still if the first leg does not move.

After this message of faith, the bishop invited the attendants to take the first step: to make a pact with God. Only by doing this, will God be able to work in their lives.

At the end of the meeting, Bishop Macedo advised the people, saying: “Whenever you face a difficult situation, you should look at your legs and remember that, in order for you to change this situation, you have to depend on your partnership with God.”
