Onslaught of evil

onslaught-of-evil

A frightening diagnosis, a curse of witchcraft, a death threat, and all else that terrorises the heart, are darts from hell to confront our faith. If our faith is based on the Word of God, none of these things will matter; however, if our faith is based on our emotions, the heart will tremble and collapse before the problems.

For this reason, the Spirit warns us not to look at things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4.17,18).

When we take intelligent faith into account, we do not accept doubts or give in to any “light and momentary” affliction, however difficult it might seem. On the contrary, we manifest a natural resistance as a result of our personal conviction! That’s when revolt comes in and we demand the fulfilment of the Word of the Eternal God.

This is to see what cannot be seen, to believe the impossible, to live from faith to faith and by faith.

How can a person understand this if he is not born of God?

In the oldest conflict known to man—the struggle between the flesh and spirit, the yearnings of the heart against reason, or feelings against faith—our emotions are the biggest and most ruthless of enemies.

Emotions are subtle, extremely sensitive and convincing, but at times, they’re like an unbearable pain.

There is no doubt that emotions are the devil’s greatest ally in his quest for human destruction. It’s emotions that are to blame for the twelve suicides following the death of Michael Jackson! Is there any sense in that?

While many struggle desperately to fight for their life against a deadly disease, others throw it out the window…

Some might say, “It’s all because they didn’t have Jesus in their hearts.” But I ask you to think about so many others that one day were faithful yet strayed from their faith by feelings of passion, sorrow, sadness.

How about those who broke off their relationship with the Holy Spirit because of thirty pieces of silver?

How many believers came down from the altar into the atrium and slowly tip-toed out of the “Christian prison” into the freedom-filled world of Sodom?

Many are like Lot, who while in the company of their father in faith, was happy, but because he craved freedom, he left for the “green fields of Jordan”, and ended up knocking on Sodom’s door. Later, he lost everything and lived alone in a cave without God, without faith and without reason to live…

I’m sure that, while reading this message, God is speaking to many, urging them to return to their first love. You might have to face many obstacles, but know one thing: when you take a step towards God, He comes running towards you.

Overcome your emotions and conquer life by the power of faith!

Be saved in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Super holy

It’s revolting to see emotional faith in action! Just the other day I was caught by surprise by a member from another church who wanted to take pictures with me and her family. I hate that! But, because I didn’t want to be rude to her, I accepted it.

After taking the pictures, she insisted on praying for me. I was a bit suspicious about her attitude but, again, I didn’t want to be impolite and so I let her pray for me. After all, I thought, I need prayers.

My suspicions were confirmed. Her prayer was but mere empty words. She asked God to bless my meal, among other foolish things… Absolute nonsense!

It didn’t help me in any way! On the contrary, it made me upset for having wasted my time…

The truth is that she didn’t learn anything I had taught minutes before. Her random “hallelujahs” only disturbed the service.

I have noticed one thing throughout the years: every time I saw people trying to show off their “spirituality”, I ended up faced with a mixture of flesh + demons.

The devil knows how to deceive emotional people very well. The worst of all is that those who are deceived manage to deceive other believers through their alleged “super holiness”.

Every believer who considers everything a sin ends up manifesting demons…

Those who are born of God, on the other hand, are balanced; they have common sense and know whom they believe!

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.” (Matthew 23.14)
