Living offering

“My greatest proof that I have totally given myself to this Work is that none of my children were taught to wait for an inheritance, to be selfish or to serve themselves.”

I travel all over the world and I don’t know much of these countries that I see other than the natural beauty of each particular place that causes me to fall in love every time I’m there. My hobby is taking pictures and saving them on my computer, which, by the way, is always giving me memory problems.

I’m in love with my wife who doesn’t leave my side for a minute. Esther doesn’t need a lot of makeup, much less plastic surgery. I’m reminded of her beauty even with a simple brush of her hair! Our children are the fruit of our love. I love being with them, but they know not to expect an inheritance.

I don’t have anything and neither do they. Everything I have belongs to the Church and I say this with a pure heart. I do what I do for God, not for myself or for my family. My children know that if they don’t use their faith, all is lost!

When I married off my daughters, still very young and inexperienced, I did it by faith, knowing that because they were marrying men of God everything would work out. Today, I see my sons-in-law as if they were my own sons.

I practically live in an airplane. Esther has learned how to have our luggage packed in a couple of minutes. Just when we’re about to get used to the time difference, we have to travel again, and it’s at this time that our age catches up with us.

I get fired up with the thought of spending time with my colleagues in faith. They’re more than brothers to me. We have the same faith, the same goals and the same ideals. We’re all equal and share the same joys and sorrows because we’re one in the Lord. They know I’m a man like any other man and they still respect me. They respect me because they see the action of the Holy Spirit through me. We are simple, we are who we are, we like to be comfortable and wear comfortable clothes without worrying about name brands.

I leap like a child whenever I receive a revelation from God and I can’t keep it to myself, not even for 5 minutes. I call everyone to pass along my inspirations. I don’t keep anything up my sleeve. What God has given me I’ve passed along and will continue doing so.

We are idealists. The only thing I’ve asked God is to win souls for my Lord. In addition, to all those who believe, amen! Those who don’t believe … So what? I couldn’t care less about those who don’t want to believe.

My greatest proof that I have totally given myself to this Work is that none of my children were taught to wait for an inheritance, to be selfish or to serve themselves. I didn’t bring them up for my own glory but for the glory of He who called me for this Work.

Our lives are living offerings on God’s Altar.

God bless those who believe!

Bishop Macedo answers - Is it wrong for a man of God to be a sperm donor?

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

Question:

Dear Bishop, is it wrong for a man of God to be a sperm donor? For the sperm to be viable it must pass through the penis, requiring masturbation.

I am a healthy 25-year-old male in the church, and currently a blood donor, which I do as often as I can to help save lives and give to those who may need to hear about Jesus. The law in some countries allows donors to choose what to do with their sperm, and so those who receive it can decide based on personal conviction like, for example, not accepting samples from gay people.

I am single at present and I plan to have my own children in 10 years time, but would be willing to donate sperm, due to that fact few men are donating, along with the troubling attempt by geneticists to produce babies without sperm. This would further lower the value of men in society, and increase Satan’s pride in his plans of destruction.
- Musonda

Answer:

Dear Musonda,

My advice is that you save your seed for the woman that God gives you. You say that you want to have a family, but imagine how your wife would feel if she found out that you had children prior to marriage, even if you didn’t have a sexual relationship with the mothers of those children.

I fully agree with being a blood donor, and I think you should continue doing this because it is very important in saving lives.

Bishop Macedo answers - How do I make it happen?

Monday, July 13th, 2009

Question:

Bishop Macedo,

I’m a 17-year-old girl from Namibia. Regarding the sacrifice that I made, I asked God to increase my mother’s salary. She’s not a church person, and believes that we’re demanding God to answer our request… My sacrifice got me into trouble with her because I didn’t tell her about it… I sold my clothes and things she bought me for my birthday—a gold and silver watch, a radio etc. How do I get God to perform this miracle? I know that He will answer me; I don’t have doubts about God!!! I know it, but how do I make it happen? Please help me. My mother is also not having a good relationship at the moment! I need advice, please.
-Coco

Answer:

Dear Coco,

Faith is above everything. God never forgets our sacrifices—the highest expression of our faith. And because of that, God has not rejected the sacrifice you made on behalf of your mother.

But let me explain something to you: a blessed financial life depends on a person’s faithfulness to God. As a matter of fact, there is a formula for a blessed financial life: conversion + faithfulness = prosperity.

By all means, keep your sacrifice alive by praying, fasting and attending the church, but bear in mind that, once your mother converts to God, the blessings will be a natural consequence—whether in her finances, love life, health etc. Therefore, I advise you to focus on praying for her to convert first rather than for her to prosper.

God bless you abundantly.
